I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I may get myself the next issue to dull the pain in my arm. (The lab must have hit a nerve drawing blood because there was sharp pain and now my arm huuuurts! Yeah, yeah, I know, call the wahmbulance.)
Still, this was cute, kid-friendly, and just absolutely charming. Kid-friendly is not usually my thing: I tend to like fiction dirty, gritty, and yeah, a lot of times violent. But this? This just made me go, 'awwww!' It's the Teen Titans minus ten years or so. Beast Boy befriends a dog, the gang talks about if Robin's cute, why he has Batgirl's number, and help a pink jelly thing who's dropped his ice cream.
They also have to deal with their parents teaching/principaling at their school.
Does it sound adorable? Too sweet? Not as adorable and sweet as the comic. I'm almost embarrassed to admit how much I liked this, because I go, awww, describe it, and then, 'but wait, not me! Not me at all!'
Then again, this being so not-me, and still capturing my attention is impressive. The fact that I wanted to buy all the rest of the issues (39, y'all) and binge read them is even more impressive. I may just buy the next issue and see if that feeling continues before binge-spending on the rest of the Tiny Titan issues!
