I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
ETA: Update. Primus, guys, a very nice, very accommodating CS rep e-mailed me back. Already. And he's looking into fixing this volume and he will get back to me when it's fixed.
So, yes, yes, yes! I guess I just have another reason to love Comixology!

Well, this is disappointing. Not only will I not be buying the rest of the series on Comixology - where I want to buy them - until the problems are fixed, I've decide this is nigh unreadable.
I depended on the guided view - which is a panel by panel thing - for the comics on Comixology. This is the note I just wrote to them:
I'm just getting around to reading Atomic Robo volume 8. I'm sure you'd be able to find it easily, but here's the link: https://www.comixology.com/Atomic-Robo-Vol-8-Savage-Sword-of-Dr-Dinosaur/digital-comic/86490?ref=c2VhcmNoL2luZGV4L2Rlc2t0b3Avc2xpZGVyTGlzdC9pdGVtU2xpZGVy
I'm not quite sure how to say it, but the scans/guided view on this are just awful. (I borrowed the first volume in paperback from my sister, which is why I even bothered picking up this volume from you guys.) The first time the guided view skipped a panel, I kinda snorted, read it on the full page view, then moved on. The second time it happened I was slightly annoyed. I'm on page 53, and other than multiple more missed panels in the guided view, there has been a weird white line through page like it was scanned in two parts and photoshopped together wrong, and another issue with the guided view that cuts off some dialogue. (I just noticed that one again, and I'm pretty sure it's happened before, too. I have to go to the full page view to read it, which honestly is kind of a pain on the MacBook, since I can't get to some parts when I enlarge the webpage, and it's hard to read in one page on the laptop.)
In fact, the errors are so numerous and create such a painful reading experience, I'm actually not reading further until I hear back from you guys. I'm just a little surprised because most of the issues are wonderful, even if some panels are slightly more pixelated than others very occasionally. There certainly hasn't been anything that's stopped me from reading a graphic novel before. But this was bad enough, and noticeable enough, that I was kinda embarrassed for the writer and artist when reading it. I'm pretty sure no one would want their work presented this way.
I'm also not sure if the guided view is something you, or the comic company set up, so I figured it might be best to contact you guys and see what happens. Is it possible to get this updated, and get the newer, hopefully less glitchy version in my library? I really, really don't want any money back for this. I'm enjoying this volume, and I would prefer to continue reading.
I have all the other books in this series on my wishlist, and I'm glad I didn't spend any money on them before talking to you guys, though. If this is something that the publisher has to deal with as far as new scans/a better guided view experience goes, you may want to point out that I am absolutely not spending more money on any of their titles at all until this is fixed. I'm not sure, but if any other readers have the same experience with this, I can easily see them thinking the same thing.
I tacked on a thanks at the end. I think this was, well, okay to say but for some reason i was really awkward about this. I dunno, maybe because I liked this series. And I really, really didn't want the scans to suck. I really, really don't want money back: I want a version of this that is reasonable and competent. And the truth is, almost all scanned comics - digital comics that the publishers or Comixology sell - are mixed quality: some panels just work better than others. That being said, none of them have been awful enough as consistently as this book has been.
So now I have to decide if I want to comfort myself with Rocket, Transformers/GI Joes, Nova, or Daredevil. I am, however, trying to cut down on my TBR from Comixology list, so I'll be focusing on those.
