I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I love Prince Robot IV, and he takes center stage for part of this. And while I love the story that is Marko, Alana, and Hazel, I'm really in this for the robots.
It's a simple concept that's a microcosm of just life in general: it's the story of a child growing up. Some of the things are unique to this universe, like the war her parents used to be involved in, but some are just about the pain and joy of being a parent. Just like with Slave Girl/Sophie, and the two reporters who have to hide that they're gay.
Anyway, I think Prince Robot IV is coming back soon in volume four, so going to read more now.
