I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Eh, not sure how I feel about this

Age Of Apocalypse #1 - Humberto Ramos

There was enough to keep me interested throughout the issue, but I'm not sure I'm interested enough in the world building here to keep going.   Part of it is that it's AoA, but volume two, and a tie-in to Uncanny X-Force (the volume written by Rick Remender) and I just enjoyed X-Force a lot more than I enjoyed this AoA.   Comparison unfair?   Maybe, but since Nightcrawler was a huge part of the AoA bit in X-Force and there's nary a sight of him, it only heightens the urge for me to compare the two series.

Both are bleak, but this is bleaker, and at least X-Force had humor to balance out some of that despairing quality to the storylines.

On the flip side?   Loved what they did with Daredevil in this issue.   Will I continue?   Eh, not sure.   I may, I may not.   Depends on how much else I add to my TBR list.
