Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Atomic Robo Volume 1: Atomic Robo & the Fightin Scientists of Tesladyne TP (v. 1) - Brian Clevinger

I spent money on Incredible Change-Bots in Comixology since I've been wanting those longer, but I will buy this volume - and the following volumes - at a later point.   Very soon.

(I asked everyone for Comixology and/or Amazon GCs for my birthday so I can get digital books and comics!)   Atomic Robo is one of the most irreverent titles I've read lately - and Robo mentions that he makes flippant and irreverent comebacks at one point - and it's a lot of fun.   A lot.

It's fun because the author clearly doesn't take any of the tropes seriously, and while the scientists are pretty hardcore about their science, when faced with the impossibility of giant ants, they do argue about whether or not imaginary physics is a viable theory.   They're a bit violent, and not quite sane, but again, this is what makes them fun.

I laughed out loud at multiple points reading this.   Funny, with a few reflective moments in between all the flippancy and imaginary science.   And kinda hot.   If you're me.
