I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Because I'm already thinking about them.
I think it's going to boil down to this:
50 book reading list. I'm going to read what I long, including some longer books.
I'm going to focus on books I own. No Netgalley, no library. Books I own will include physical books, ebooks in a variety of formats, books I paid for, and books I got via giveaways and as ARCs. Just nothing borrowed.
Sexytimes. I'm going to try to do 50% or more books about robots, AIs and cyborgs. No minor roles - that is if a robot shows up, says something inane, and then never shows up again, it doesn't count. They don't have to be the main characters, although if they are side characters, they should play a fairly big role. I'm thinking of, say Neuromancer. You don't see much of the AI, but it plays a pivotal role. (And has a lot of enhanced humans.) It can also be nonfiction books about robotics. Or the Definitive History of Robocop, which is non-fiction, but not science. I just really want to, ah, bone up on this subject.
At least one Dumas in French.
At least one Hugo in French.
Neuromancer, Robocop two, and assorted original French books I own read.
