Grittier version of the X-Men
The Noir line was, I gather, not only set in earlier time periods, but to be much grittier than the originals. This is the case with the sequel to X-Men Noir.
I was, to be honest, quite disappointed in how Xavier was evil. It just didn't do it for me as much as most of the Marvel books I've been reading.
Onto something that is hopefully more to my taste.
