Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Multiple issues...

Transformers Spotlight, Volume 4: Revelation - Simon Furman, E.J. Su, Nick Roche, Dan Khanna

The story was fractured by the nature of the Spotlights: take four very different bots, and a storyline that has as much to do with two Primes - Optimus and Nova/Nemesis - and then try to build a story around those four bots.

It kind of failed.   The art was hit and miss, with the Sideswipe issue being a highlight as far as the artistic side of this collection goes.

But again, it fails in comparison to the better series, both TV and in comics.   Some are just superior, with more being said about war, more character development, and more warmth and humor.

I would have rated it three stars had it been up to the level of Alliance, but the story was fractured by trying to force it into an arc of four spotlights so I knocked it down one star.
