I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Shadowman: Follow Me Boy - Delilah S. Dawson

So halfway through this I bought more Kindle World books, all from Valiant.  I still looked at page count versus price, and I sampled, but this is absolutely excellent!   Fits into the world, and is less offensive than the original series.

This proves to me that KW can work.   And how!   It looks like this might be between a four to five star review, probably closer to four and a half to five.   The writing and world building and character interaction are both excellent, and try to the actual characters and world building of the Shadowman series.   I still have a problem with the loa, but there's so much to distract you here, it seems like less of an offense.   And the Voodoo seems more real, although I do have to do research on Follow Me Boy - the spell/gris gris before I can confirm this.

Yes, there is some lousy fanfiction, some of it probably in KW.   But there are some real gems there, too.
