I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
It wasn't awful, but the illustrations were mediocre, as was the writing. Stilted dialogue, and a disjointed plot that would have been made more bearable if they learned something other than 'dragons are mythical beings, and dinosaurs lived on this planet a long, long time ago'.
While there are some morality lessons in here - you don't always get what you want, and sometimes that's a good thing, don't complain so much - if it were bolstered by some facts about dinosaurs, I would have felt more like, 'well, at least it was educational.'
As it stands, I wouldn't recommend this.
