I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I didn't realize that reprogramming a smart key for a car was named 'the chicken dance.' But you have to go through these rituals that seemed obsessive compulsive and just bizarre: put in and take out the fob x amount of times, open and close the door x amount of times, then make sure you hear the car doors lock and unlock.
That was just to make the car go. To do the smart part of the key - the one that allows you to make the car go without the fob shoved in, or to open via finger-touch on the door - is even more complicated and you have to complete tasks within a certain amount of time.
I was so, so frustrated :/
But I did it, I know I can do it, and I didn't put it off until tomorrow morning - so yay to that. Between that and seeing my brother today, that's what I've been doing. I've also been distracted by the impressive claw marks my friend's kitty left as a, ah, gift. Then again, Ripley was named after the Alien lead character so I should probably expect some attacks!
This was Ripley at about seven weeks when he first got her:

And this is Ripley now:

I've watched her attack another friend in the ear, and have almost been subjected to such attacks myself. Still, when you're that pretty, I just melt.
I just throw treats for her to get if she gets too, um, frisky :P
