I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Between the bad porn dialogue and the fact that the family in a witness protection program wasn't told why they were being put into protection, I found this all rather unbelievable.
I also thought that given the reveal at the end, that the whole premise was unbelievable. Why would they risk so much, losing this family, instead of putting them away somewhere truly out of sight?
Why is the family any safer at the end?
Basically, it was a way to deal with Islamaphobia, 9/11, and terrorism all at once. Tying it into a family was supposed to be a good way to make me feel more, but, eh, it was all so shoddily put together that there was not one single fuck to be given.
Glad it's over. I won't be trying many more of these bookshots, if any, after this mess. Just not worth the time, even though I got it free as a Kindle book.
