Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

That ending...

Extraordinary X-Men (2015-) #4 - Jeff Lemire, Humberto Ramos

Well, that was surprising.

Just let me say that I'm happy I was right: the X-Haven is being demolished storyline was finished, and it was time to focus on the future, starting with gathering Colossus, Magik and Nightcrawler.   I have to admit I like the close ties siblings can have in Marvel: Wanda and Pietro come to mind as well as Piotr and Illyana.  In this series, Piotr's close ties to Illyana are played upon as he continually tries to protect her, even though she is at least as powerful as he is, if not more powerful.   Still, when they're both harmed, he takes to protecting her.   (When others are injured, or in danger, Illyana protects them.   She would, no doubt, do the same for the brother she adores if she'd woken up first.  Sure, her being the damsel could bother me, or I could just accept it.   Nightcrawler is far more messed up than she is right now, so she's not the only person in distress here.   Actually, comics are rotating doors of distress for the characters, especially the X-Men. )

I love what they're doing with Sinister.   Very creepy and it shouldn't have surprised me that the ending would be that gross given it's sinister, but it still managed to give me the chills.  I am more than eager to continue on my MU binge.  I think I'm going to do a Comixoloyg/MU/paper comics triage this weekend.   This has pretty much convinced me this is the way to go.
