I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
And I hadn't been expecting to like him as much as I do given his past with this continuity. But he's writing a really amazing screenplay!
TC brags to everyone about how good his screenplay is. It is... laughably bad.
But more than that, he gets a female dog named Buster. And he's so cute with her! At one point, he tells her he likes having to be responsible for something he likes. He talks to her like she's people, and he protects her, all the time.
I ended up focusing almost exclusively on TC. Love, love, love him in this. There's a good plot, some good action, and Prowl gets in a couple good lines.
But there's something so earnest and endearing about TC that I end up loving him. (And he'll argue that his screenplay is good, but he doesn't harass anyone over it. He'll ask them a couple times if they want to read it - and, yes, I do, because I love you, TC and because it's so bad it's funny - but he doesn't force them. Or try to strong-arm them into giving him compliments. And to his credit, he truly does try to learn bout human behavior and Earth customs, it's just really, really hard for him. He's like the only awethor I like. Because Buster.)
And that ending. You have to read that ending for yourself, but the twist is worth it.
PS - I can't find the image of Buster sleeping on TCs wing. Maybe next volume?
