I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

The Pulse, Vol. 1: Thin Air - Mark Bagley, Brian Michael Bendis

I ship Jessica Jones and Luke Cage so hard.   And the best part?   It was something that was organic, written into the Alias series before I knew about the Alias series.   This is nowhere near head canon.   This is actual canon.

I love it when canon is my ship.   And this ship has a baby.    Or, well, it will soon.   This volume takes place while Jessica is pregnant, and she and Luke need insurance.   When the Daily Bugle offers her a job, to give her perspective on superheroes, she takes it.   Because of the insurance and dental.

It causes some problems between her and Luke, but I loved seeing them make up.   And I love Jessica Jones.

I am not that crazy about the art; it's serviceable, but I'm not crazy about it anyway.   I'm also wishing this wasn't so... clean.   It feels, in a way, like it took a step back from Alias, and as a result is less complicated and messy.   But complicated and messy made it full and rich, and I miss that part of the story.

Still, I want to know what happens to Jess and Luke, so I'll keep going for now.
