I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
It gets better and better: as the characters reveal themselves, the main character, the Jedi trying to pretend not to be a Jedi since they're all being hunted and killed, gets in more and more trouble.
Every time he thinks he catches a break, he only finds himself in a more dire predicament. So far, his quick thinking has served him well, and by that I mean kept him alive. Luck helped, but the protection and sacrifice of his Master have not been wasted. Kanan will keep himself alive, although not by sacrificing his morals. He will fight, and I believe he will kill if he needs to in order to serve the greater good - to protect people who are being abused and cannot help themselves - or even to keep himself alive. (Which makes sense. Survival instinct, and just because he has morals, it doesn't mean he will allow himself to be slaughtered just for being a Jedi.)
Still, I feel like I have a better grasp of his character. I'm quite enjoying this Star Wars line, and this comes from someone who is not a huge Star Wars fan. Despite the good reviews, I have very little interest in seeing The Force Awakens in theaters when I can wait for it to come on Netflix. I originally started because, hey, they were showing up in Marvel Unlimited, I liked a lot of the writers they were using - Aaron and Gillen and Duggan on Chewbacca, which has not shown up at all on Marvel Unlimited yet - and so I gave them a shot. I put them out of mind, mostly as I was busy reading my Comixology stuff and some paper books, and then when I got back? Well, I have some Leia and Vader to catch up on, and I plan on doing that tonight or tomorrow. I fell down a rabbit hole of Jessica Jones and Patsy Walker stuff though, so I may do that tonight. And I have to finish The Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe, which I'm digging, but the internet crapped out on me earlier...
So we'll see. But soon. I will soon finish up what's up on Leia and Vader.
