Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

More political intrigue, dictatorship style

All-New Inhumans (2015-) #2 - James Asmus, Charles Soule, Stefano Caselli

Crystal's second mission involves a dictatorship, where they claim there are no NuHumans.   S.H.I.E.L.D is hesitant about them going, and the world's eyes are on Crystal: if she causes any problems, the Inhumans will be held responsible, after all.

Crystal must tread carefully, particularly since she knows the regime will only bring out people that will validate their crafted narrative, and so she sends out a second, secret mission while she plays the diplomat.

And she plays it far better than I expected she would.   This is a horrifying look into what evil people will do with too much power, and it was a powerful statement.   Looking forward to the continuation of this storyline in issue three.
