I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Yeah, this whole setup is like the punchline to a joke. But it was good. Filler, but good. And not so much filler in that the last couple of pages are super important. But, honestly? It's mostly D.O.C. and Buster talking in drone 'fweeps' and dog-speak - so barking.
And we didn't really need that much character development time with them since they, uh, don't really get character development.
No, we didn't need this issue, but I love seeing Buster, particularly when Thundercracker is babying her. Or taking care of her. Or refusing direct orders to go into what he considers a war zone with a dog, because, what are you? Crazy?
So did I enjoy it five stars worth? I did. It probably didn't deserve all these stars, and yet it was a whole load of fun. And I'm not sure how this - other than the aforementioned last couple of pages - is building up to the epic events in fifty for both this and More Than Meets the Eye, but i know it's coming because the ads won't let me forget about it!
