Well, as for 'where', Rocket's gotten so used to everyone disappearing, that he put trackers in them.    How?  Well, he answers that: 

But the Avengers provide the means to get to Gamora.   And well, even a planet can't keep both teams from saving her.  

A fun conclusion.   Glad I picked these two up, although I didn't grab issue three.   It wasn't on the racks.  I'll pick up on four and five and I'm not sure if I'm going to buy the rest of this series.
