I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
And I'm loving it more for that. Because every time I think I have a handle on this, Ock surprises me. Just when I think he'll cross another line, he finds a way to solve his problems, a way that Parker would approve of, I think, given the circumstances.
This series is really finding it's voice, the balancing act it's preforming hitting all the right spots. Which is a shame, because it was cancelled soon after it really started getting all these things right.
That being said, one star off for the time travel/Spider-Man 2099 story which I really didn't like. Eh, Marvel, so many of your time travel stories get so unnecessarily complicated. And this whole one, I just didn't get the point. It wasn't all that original, and it didn't really reveal anything about the plot or characters that we didn't already know. So, yeah, not working for me.
I did like the post time travel stories a lot, though!
