Amazing conclusion!

Captain America, Vol. 2: Castaway in Dimension Z, Book Two - Rick Remender, John Romita Jr.

This may be one of he most bizarre and heart wrenching Captain America stories ever written.   As I said in a comment to my last review, I'm not normally a Captain America fan. I was flush with Black Friday consumerism and taking suggestions left and right.  My only restriction was either Marvel or robots, as I had no real interest in DC.   Luckily for me, the gentleman who had been in both times I stopped by my local Newbury was a Marvel fan.   So I decided to spring for these two Cap volumes, and haven't regretted it one bit.   Not having read the earlier stories, there very well may be many more bizarre or heart wrenching stories, but I wouldn't know.

Why did I pick up two volumes of this?   The gentleman seemed to know what he was talking about.   He was proven to be correct as I ended up loving everything he suggested, really.   Including this, which he'd been trying to sell to someone else earlier, too.   (Shame for them they didn't pick these up super cheap, but good for me.)   I'm so glad I listened to him and ended up spending way too much money - so worth it for the huge stack of absolutely amazing graphic novels I got.

Add to this fact that I got a digital version of the Marvel Now comics, including this, though and I really made out well.   I read this all on the computer, using the guided view which takes you panel by panel.   For some reason, it wouldn't take me to the end a couple times, so I had to exit the reader than go back in.   Still, their panel-by-panel view is quite decent at mimicking the comic book reading experience.  I still prefer the paper versions as you can't easily read a whole page on a screen, and I like that experience.   Still, Marvel does the best job it can.

Loved it.  Loved the writing, loved the art.   Loved the ending that I didn't see coming and that nearly had me in tears.   It was pretty much perfect.
