I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
So who was super excited when this showed up as a digital exclusive? This girl!
Does it matter that I could get these elsewhere? Bundled neatly, and in large, good quality files, I get every single cover of the first sixteen issues of More Than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise. Variants, reprints, retailer incentives, everything.
And was it worth the dollar? Hells yes, but only if you really, really seeing a bunch of Prime, Magnus, Starscream, and Bumblebee. (And, ugh, even Hot Rod did it for me once. What the fuck, cover? My brain says no, my ovaries say yes.)
And then you get to this brilliant Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band cover.
So, yes, definitely with the dollar.
As a side note, I picked this up to test comics under the Kindle Cloud Reader. How does it fare? Not very well. It keeps stalling. At one point - what I'm calling page 77/130 since each location is a new page and it has 130 locations - it kepis stalling even after I signed out and back in again. I had to go to location 80, go back a page, and then go forward again. Weird.
So the conclusion is that I may or may not purchase more comics. I definitely am willing to go through this for another cover collection as there are too many for me to own, although I'd prefer a collection in paper.
And seriously, I can read two pages, then it freezes long enough for me to read a page or two of a comic, then I can go on. If this wasn't my version of porn, I'd have given up long ago...
